Vinyl fences in Glendale, AZ

No paint, no stain, nothing for termites to chew. Vinyl is a solid choice for side yards, dividers and screens when a block footing would be more than the job needs.

Where do people use vinyl here?

  • Splitting a back yard so the dog stays off the grass or out of the pool area.
  • Hiding trash cans, AC units and pool equipment.
  • Side-yard runs in neighborhoods where the HOA allows non-block fencing.
  • Rentals, where nobody wants to repaint a fence.

Will it hold up to the sun?

Good vinyl will. Cheap vinyl may not. Ask for a product rated for high UV, with inhibitors built into the surface, and a written manufacturer warranty. Desert tones like tan, sand and clay hide dust better than bright white and sit nicely next to stucco. We stick to the maker's post spacing so long runs stay straight in the heat.

Is digging different out here?

It can be. Caliche, the rock-hard layer under a lot of West Valley yards, slows down post holes. Angi notes that Phoenix-area vinyl jobs often land at the higher end of the range partly because of caliche and heat. If we hit it, you'll know ahead of time how it affects the price.

What does vinyl cost?

Angi's Phoenix-area vinyl data, updated February 2026, shows about $15 to $40 per linear foot, with privacy styles around $25 to $40. A typical project lands near $1,800 to $3,600. Angi also suggests budgeting for permit and plan review fees where a permit applies.

Vinyl or block?

If it's a permanent lot line, most Glendale homeowners go with block. If it's inside the yard, vinyl usually wins on cost and speed. More in the best fence for Arizona heat.
