What do Goodyear homes usually need?
Most Goodyear homes came with a block perimeter, so the work here tends to be about adding to it rather than starting from scratch:
- Pool barriers when a new pool goes in.
- View fencing on lots facing open desert, golf courses or the mountains.
- RV gates on side yards.
- Wall extensions where a two-story home went in next door.
What about active-adult communities?
In age-restricted communities such as PebbleCreek, HOA design rules are usually detailed. Arizona's state pool barrier law exempts homes where every resident is at least six years old, but city codes and HOA rules may still apply, and future buyers may expect a barrier. Ask before removing one.
Does Goodyear follow Glendale's rules?
No. Goodyear has its own development code and building rules, and the master-planned communities add theirs. We check the City of Goodyear's current requirements for your address before the design is final.
What does a fence cost in Goodyear?
For a pool barrier, plan on the fence plus self-closing hardware. Angi's Phoenix-area aluminum range, as of October 2026, is about $17 to $90 a linear foot. See our cost guide for more.
