RV gates in Glendale, AZ

Got a trailer, boat or motorhome? A side yard only helps if you can get into it. We build wide steel gates that open clear and stay square for years.

Gate in a fence

How wide should it be?

We size it from your vehicle and your driveway, not a catalog. That means the width of the rig with mirrors, the turn you have to make to get in, and any curb, slope or tree in the way. A gate that's technically wide enough but needs a ten-point turn isn't one you'll use.

Which style fits?

  • Double swing: two leaves that open in. Simple and reliable on a flat side yard.
  • Single swing: one big leaf. Needs a stout hinge post and room to swing.
  • Rolling: slides along the wall. Good when there's no room to swing or the ground slopes.

Want an opener? Say so up front so we can plan wiring and post placement.

Why do RV gates sag?

Most of the time it's an undersized post or a shallow footing. A long steel leaf is a lever, and a monsoon gust leans on it hard. We size posts for the span, set them deep in concrete, add a drop rod for the second leaf and use hinges you can adjust down the road.

What if the gate opens into the pool area?

Then it's part of the pool barrier and has to work like one. Double gates are handled differently from a walk gate, so we design the latch and hold-down for the code. See pool barriers.

Does my HOA have a say?

Often. Many West Valley HOAs have rules about RV parking and about whether a gate must be solid to hide the vehicle from the street. Send us your CC&Rs or design guidelines with your request and we'll design to them.
